Who We Are
We identify talented young athletes and support them towards reaching their full potential through dedicated coaching, outstanding facilities, and the opportunity to compete in prestigious tournaments.
Established in 2013, we currently provide dedicated football coaching to a number of young Ghanaians, who are supported on a scholarship basis, having been identified as exceptionally talented athletes. Our first generation of 26 athletes were selected through a recruitment programme held for over a thousand aspiring young athletes, inviting young boys who had been extensively scouted across the country.
Since then, our athletes span the U11-U18 age categories and regularly compete in local, national, and regional tournaments. Rising Stars of Africa is now considered one of the top African athletes development hubs on the continent.

All of our players are based at the academy on a residential basis, receiving a high-quality education in addition to their sporting development.Our aim is for students to flourish both academically and in a sporting capacity, providing them with the best possible opportunities to achieve their dreams of a career in the sporting world or successfully engage academically and ultimately in the world of work………
The origin of our work in Ghana is our Mass Participation Programme, this is tasked with getting thousands of disadvantaged children to play the sports they love. We work in underprivileged local communities using international sports coaches to go into clubs and schools to help provide education, equipment and training sessions that can make a real difference to the lives of the children participating……..

At Rising Stars of Africa, our basketball development program is grounded in the belief that sport is more than just a game—it is a powerful tool for personal growth, social cohesion, and community transformation.Our core aim is to offer a supportive and structured environment where young athletes can develop holistically—both on and off the court. Through consistent training sessions, we promote physical health and emotional well-being, while building essential life skills such as leadership, discipline, teamwork, decision-making, and self-confidence………..
Operating alongside the academy, Rising Stars of Africa runs an after school programme for the local community. Here we conduct additional lessons and provide a homework help service, and, for those behind in their studies hold intervention one-on-one teaching. This has an emphasis on personal and scholastic development with the aim to help children emerge from the cycle of poverty by helping them to gain a better education, more skills and instil leadership qualities to better themselves and their community.

Empowering Africa’s Future Through Sports & Education
Rising Stars of Africa has opened doors for hundreds of young athletes by combining sports with education and mentorship. Over 1000 students have been trained, earning scholarships opportunities overseas to further their education. Today, our graduates are thriving globally not just as athletes, but as leaders and change-makers.
